Collier County, FL — A driver escaped serious injury and fled the scene after hopping a curb at a high rate of speed and driving through and out the other side of The Naples Winery at Tin City at 1200 5th Avenue S in Naples.
Naples Fire Rescue and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 1:46 AM early Friday morning.
It appears the driver was heading southbound on Goodlette-Frank Road S and failed to negotiate a turn, driving through the dead end and onto Tin City property.
Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
Officers eventually located the driver nearby, where they were then evaluated by EMS.
No other injuries have been reported.
The Naples Police Department is investigating.
