One dead, two injured after shooting at Rusty’s in Naples

Deputies confirm this morning, Jason Ortiz, 29, of Fort Myers, FL will be charged with second-degree murder for his involvement in the altercation that led to shots being fired last night at Rusty’s.

One victim, who has not been identified, died at NCH North after sustaining injuries in the shooting.

Ortiz was released from Lee Memorial Hospital this morning and taken into custody by Fort Myers Police Department officers for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies confirm three people were shot last night during the incident. The victim who is now deceased, another person who tried to break up the fight, and Ortiz.

Deputies are still piecing together the timeline and will release more details once they become available.

Collier County, FL — Multiple people have been injured after a shooting at Rusty’s at 2700 Immokalee Road in Naples.

Numerous Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies as well as multiple North Collier Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident around 9:40 PM Friday evening.
