Lee County, FL — A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle at Del Prado Boulevard S and SE 15th Terrace in Cape Coral.
Cape Coral Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 7:13 PM Thursday evening.
Fire & EMS radio communications indicate that the 19-year-old female motorcyclist was rear-ended by a sedan and sustained serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria.
She was reportedly ejected from the bike and came to rest in the parking lot of the Capital Pawn at 1515 Del Prado Blvd S.
She was later transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center by EMS.
Two northbound lanes of Del Prado Blvd S were previously shut down but have since reopened.
The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating.
